2 c flour
1 T baking powder
1 c buttermilk
Combine flour, baking powder & salt in bowl. Add buttermilk til mixture forms a light dough. Flatten several clumps of this dough on floured surface. I usually make 3 flattened. Heat about 1/2 inch vegetable oil in skillet. Carefully set each flattened clump of dough into oil. One at a time. Let cook on each side til golden brown. Will cook fairly quickly. With tongs, remove to a paper toweled plate then start another one cooking.
When finished, start to layer your Indian Taco beginning with the meat, then beans, etc.
